With IAI, consultants, entrepreneurs, freelancers and other independents have access to group benefits as good as, and sometimes better than, those at traditional corporations. And, since IAI is your employer of record, regardless of where or with whom you are supplying your services, you can take your benefits with you from assignment to assignment and while contracting for many clients at the same time.

Direct Deposit

Payroll and expense reimbursements can be paid weekly. Requests made by noon Tuesday are paid on the following Friday, as long as adequate funds are in your iamindependentSM (IAI) earnings account by 12:00 noon Wednesday for a direct deposit.

Business Reimbursement

IAI reimburses you for IRS allowed and iamindependentSM approved business expenses on a pre-tax basis. This includes Business Expenses, Business Travel & Per Diem, Home Office Expenses, Education/Tuition Fees and Medical expenses. Please see the Expense Reimbursement Guidelines (doc) for additional information.

Retirement plan – 401(k)

The 401 (k) plan that will allow you to set aside up to 10% of your W-2 wages towards retirement, with the maximum as set by current laws.

Deferred Compensation

The deferred compensation plan allows you to defer 15% of your W-2 wages and up to 100% of any bonuses. Your deferred amounts earn interest at the rate of 4% for every 12 months the amounts stay deferred.

Child care program

The child care program allows you to receive expense reimbursements for up to $3,000 of child care costs per child, per year; or the maximum as set by current law. Both parents must be working and expenses must be accompanied by valid proof of payments.
